Do I get paid for the time I am in school?

Yes, the Quality Carriers (QC) safety department issues you a T-chek for $300.00 when you complete the course on Friday.

Who are the instructors?

All of our trainers have been in the industry for more than 10 years. These instructors understand the industry and what it takes to be safe. Their goal is to give you the proper information to stay within QC guidelines and, more importantly, keep you safe on the road.

Do I have to pay for my own motel?

No, we accommodate you with your own motel room while you attend school.

Where is the training school located?

There are six schools across the U.S. and in Canada. The schools are located in Houston, TX, Salisbury, NC, Baltimore, MD, Summit, IL, Southgate, CA, in the U.S. and in Montreal, PQ, in Canada.

How long is the training?

The orientation and training program is five days long.

Do I have to pay for the orientation?

No, the QC safety department provides the class for all new drivers.

Do I have to go to training if I have tanker experience?

Yes, all Quality Carriers drivers go through the driver orientation and training program. For those drivers who have not been exposed to tankers in several years, this can be considered a refresher course.

I don’t have previous tanker experience; will I be given the proper training?

The training will teach the basic steps to load and unload a tanker with a pump and an air compressor, along with several tips on how to make loading easier for you.

What will I learn at this orientation?

This orientation should give you an overall look at our company’s history and safety policies.
